Double curved shells for glass roofing structures are elegant and efficient, but depend for their implementation of the precise planning and execution of the nodes. They must adapt their geometry to the varying connection angles and absorb not only the axial loads but also bending in the flat parts of the roof.

IF-group has developed for this purpose an in-house software application. It allows designing directly coupled, bolted or welded, node systems, in order to make the complexity of the three dimensional forms manageable and economic.
